Electric cable of this kind comes in many different gauges (AWG) and environmental qualities. This cable is a 10/4 cable made to "SOOW" standards. What does that mean? It means that it's good stuff.

If you're going be using this cable as a generator jumper cable from generator to the house, as I am, then a cable's "ampacity" is a word you should look into.
"Ampacity. The maximum current an insulated wire or cable can safely carry without exceeding either the insulation or jacket material limitations. (Same as Current Carrying Ampacity.)"
This cable, according to SOOW standards, has an ampacity of 25 Amps.

According to the above, this cable can handle 6000w (25A X 240v = 6000w). If you want the cable to safely handle more watts, you need to go to a bigger gauge wire.
Delivered to your front door, when you take into consideration the time, effort and gas one will have to expend to get an item of this kind to your garage bench, I found this to be a well packaged product at a fair price.
