The biggest problem I had with an uncovered pool was during the fall when the days were spectacular but the night temperature dropped so much it was prohibitively expensive to try to re-heat the pool the next day. Before getting Pool Disks we wasted so many beautiful days because the water was just too cold. With Pool Disks, the temperature of the water was retained during the night, so the next day if it was warm enough to swim, we did! The kids and their friends love to toss the the Pool Disks into place, and always volunteer (actually argue over!) the privilege of removing them before we swim. This was a great gift because it allowed us to continue to enjoy swimming and our pool into the fall. I can't wait to get an early jump on Spring swimming this year!
