Pros: solidly built; puts out lots of heat.
Cons: the style is a bit dated looking, though better than the photos would suggest (the paint is not so drab looking); the fan on mine was a bit noisy like it had a rattle, but still quiet enough for a residential setting (perhaps better QA is needed, or it got damaged in transit).
I was disappointed that a heater in this price range (over $200 MSRP) doesn't come with a digital thermostat and a variable fan speed and power output controller. The provided thermostat is just a knob with min/max markings, where you set it to max, wait for the desired temperature to be reached, then you slowly turn the knob down until it shuts off. It'll then maintain that temperature.
I think the fan operates at the same speed in both high and low positions, but the power output varies. (The manual doesn't specify.) A more modern design would not only vary the fan speed automatically, but also vary the power output, so that the temperature can be maintained while using the least power and making the least noise.
Lastly, this product does require a 240 V outlet, which most people won't have. Consider that you'll get almost as much heat (10,240 BTU vs. 13,650 BTU) from a pair of 1500 W 120V heaters, though you'll need two separate circuits (breakers) to run them, which you might have in a kitchen or if you distribute them across a couple of rooms.
