I decided on the Pentair Intelliflo 011013 and had it installed almost 2 months ago. I have been very pleased with it and according to my calculations,my electricity usage has decreased about 20 kWh/day,which in our area is about $2.20,or about $65.00/month in the swimming season.It is very quiet. I run my pump about 16 hours/day during the season and 8-10 hours/day in the off-season. Of course it will take a while to pay for itself,but so far I'm happy.

The Pentair IntelliFlo VS 3050 high-performance pool pump is ultra-quiet.Just 7 to 10 decibels, or half a human whisper.
