(More customer reviews)I've been using this for about a week to heat a very small bathroom, maybe six feet by twelve feet. This room is built over an unheated crawl space and can get very, very cold. This little heater has no trouble at all heating a space that small and could almost certainly heat more.
I have used it in a much larger room, probably fifteen by fifteen. It can take the chill off of a room even that size given some time. I wouldn't expect this small heater to heat a room that size by itself, but for a little extra on a very cold day it does the job.
The thermostat control works very well and the fan isn't too loud. It makes noise, but in the bathroom next to my bedroom it does not bother me at night as I feared it might. All in all, I have to say it performs better than I thought it might. Not often a product out delivers your expectations. This one did.
My only complaint- it has an odd smell. I'm not sure how to describe it. Kind of a plastic smell, but not like the plastic case is melting or anything. Just an odd smell. Almost leather like. I'm not sure if that is something that will wear off after a while, or if that is something ceramic heaters just do, but it doesn't bother me a lot. It doesn't smell like there's a problem or anything and after you're in the room with it for a few minutes you don't notice it anymore. Not a big deal, really, just thought I should mention it. I don't think it would bother anyone unless you're sensitive to that kind of thing.
