We have a wood burning stove there and have tried several small electric heaters when not wanting to build a fire. We purchased this heater with a 220 supply line. It works very well. It heats up the room quickly and then when you turn the thermostat down it only comes on as needed. It sits on carpet that does NOT heat up. I saw one that a friend had and he was very impressed so we are trying it. Have not yet received my electic bill since it has been installed only for about a week. Rochester New York
